We provide a variety of reference services to our users. Reference Desk is located near the main entrance of Library. The Desk helps users to use library's Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and other information resources, e.g. A/V Collection, Company Reports, CDs, etc. the person at the desk would help you in locating the materials for your specific assignments.

The desk should be your first stop when you need assistance in locating information for your research and class assignments. The reference staff welcomes you and eager to serve you. If you feel any thing lacking or inconvenience, please feel free to register your valuable feed back, suggestions and complaints with this desk.

»» Circulation Services
   
  Library materials are borrowed and returned at the circulation desk, which is located near the main entrance. Library materials on reserve, A/V materials, text copies, periodicals, reference books, Govt. publications, publications of World bodies, CDs could not be issued.
Library Orientation and Instructions Services

The library's orientation and instructions program at Hajvery extends the role of library in ensuring that users make the most effective use of library resources. The program is designed to educate the participants, researchers, faculty, and staff in locating printed and electronic knowledge assets to fulfill their information needs. This service is available on individual and group basis. This program may be offered at;

The request of faculty member to his/her class,
The start of each semester library offers an orientation session/tour for new participants after main orientation program.

» Remote Access

Library's website is a one-stop information solution. It is managed, maintained and organized by University librarians and IT experts. It provides links to almost all academic disciplines like Business, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Sc., Psychology, Education, English, Linguistics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Islamic Studies., Govt. Departments, etc. on the web. The virtual library's pages provide comprehensive startup point to access electronic information and reference sources.

» Impact:

Hajvery Libraries provides its members with an environment that is conducive not only for academic but also climatic change. We manage cleanliness, prompt accessibility as well as healthy air-conditioning. The key objective of these continuous library efforts is to enhance its hard and e-resources and also to improve its services by capitalizing the options extended by the traditional, professional and recent IT applications in the libraries. This will enhance our archive and current collection potential and will certainly help faculty boost research activities. It provides one window instant access to huge amounts of data and information remotely. It will save a lot of time and energy of information seekers.

»» Discussion Room

Sometimes studying involves working in-groups. We have designated some area of the Library as Group Study Zone, where it is acceptable to make a certain amount of noise, while engaged in Group Study work. Other areas of the building are designated as Silent Study Zones, where silence must be observed, so as not to interfere with individual quiet study.

To avoid noise, and to facilitate groups, and to promote learning culture, we have provided the facility of separate discussion room for combined study and discussions. This facility will be available throughout the library hours. We however, request the user to maintain discipline and avoid seat disorder.

»» Reservations of Books
   
    You may reserve any book, which in circulation process from general collection section. E-mail will be sent to the person who has reserved the item. Reserved items will be held at circulation desk for 24 hours, after that reserved items will be shelved or may be issued to any one else. Faculty may be given priority in this regard.
     
  » Recommend an Item
    We welcome faculty, staff and participants to recommend any material, which can add value in our library collection. Library Committee will review all the requests and purchase would be the subject of approval and funds. However, we will do our best to honor your recommendations.
     
  » Inter Library Loan
     
Materials that are not held by Hajvery library might be borrowed/referred to other libraries. Please contact Users Services Desk or Chief Library Officer to avail this facility.
 
»» Internet Facility
 

Library provides the facility to get connect Internet at both Central and Postgraduate Libraries.

»» Orientations
 

The library provides a wide range of user education programs to enable them to use the library to its optimum potential. The orientation programs at the time of fresh admissions are conducted each year. Visitors and delegates are also briefed by the senior staff.

 
»» Photocopying Services

This facility is available in the  Library on payment basis, from where the user can get the photocopy subject to the copyright law. It is possible to enlarge and reduce copies.

   
»» Printing
